Delivery Charges to Non Mainland UK and International Destinations

The prices quoted on the website are only for Standard Delivery to Mainland UK addresses (with above locations excepted).  Please contact us for a quotation to locations other than mainland UK by contacting sales@mirrormania.co.uk.  All quotations given will not include any local taxes or duties that may be charged by that country’s taxation laws. Insurance against loss or damage on overseas delivery is also available.

Delivery Times and How We Deliver our Products

Delivery for handmade mirrors by Mirror Mania is generally from 3 to 8 weeks, however, this may vary depending on the product but you will be advised by email at the time of order confirmation.

Bespoke items generally take longer, however, if you would like a definite delivery time line before ordering, please contact us and we will be able let you know.

Delivery for Home Decor items is generally 1 to 6 weeks,  however, this may vary depending on the product but you will be advised by email at the time of order confirmation.

Once your mirror order is ready for delivery, we will contact you to organise a convenient delivery day. For Home Decor items, you will be advised when your order has been dispatched and given an estimated delivery time.

Please note that if you are not available to receive the mirror or furniture item delivery on the date agreed and organised, we reserve the right to charge you for the cost of the collection/return/redelivery of the mirror as this is a cost from an independent company and we have no control over this charge.

How we Package our Products

We take every care to ensure that our goods arrive with you in one piece by carefully packing them with tailor-made packaging materials.

Please keep the packing materials until you are sure that your are happy with your purchase as they will be be needed should you need to return the goods.

Courier and Specialist Fragile Delivery Services

All of our mirrors are delivered by well-established and reliable courier services.

Standard Delivery Service only apply to deliveries to Ground Floor locations and include a One Man delivery service. 

Should you need delivery to a location other than the ground floor, or it is particularly heavy,  it may be necessary for you to provide assistance to the courier in the unloading of the mirror.

Should this not be possible, please advise us in advance so that we can provide you with a quote for an additional person to be available to assist in the carrying of the mirror into/out of your home.

In the event that the mirror is delayed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, for example, snow, road accidents, etc., we will organise another delivery time as close as possible to the original delivery date.

What to do When Your Mirror/Product Arrives

It is very important that when your mirror/product arrives that you inspect the mirror/product for any damage.  In the unfortunate event that the mirror/product is damaged, please complete the courier’s paperwork making note of the damage.  Please then send an email to us the same day to sales@mirrormania.co.uk advising us of the damage.  We may also require photos of the damage.

Exclusive Range of Handmade, Frameless Trim Finished Mirrors:  Unpacking and Handling Your Mirror

• When removing your mirror from the packaging, please be very careful that the packaging does not catch on the trim as it may result in marking or pulling the trim away from the glass.
• When handling the mirror, it is advisable to wear gloves to avoid marking the trim and, if possible, avoid putting your hands directly on to the trim as it is a natural product and can be marked.
• Please ensure that when lifting the mirror, the mirror is handled so that the weight distribution is even to avoid bending and twisting the mirror which can result in cracking the mirror.
• When putting the mirror down, please ensure that it is only laid on the blue foam edging as the glass goes to the edges of the backing board and may chip if placed on its edges.

Please Note: If the weather is particularly cold, we recommend that the mirror is laid flat in the room it is to be hung for a minimum of 48 hours so that the timber can climatise to the room’s temperature.

If the mirror is not to be hung straight away, we recommend that the mirror is stored flat until it is hung to avoid any damage to the mirror. The mirror should not be rested upright on its edges as this may damage the mirror panels and backing board. We will not accept responsibility for any damage caused to, or by, a mirror if the above guidelines and recommendations are not adhered to.

Framed and Frameless Bevelled Mirrors: Unpacking and Handling Your Mirror

• Once the mirror has been unpacked, please ensure that when putting it down, it is only laid on the foam edging as the glass goes to the edge of the backing board and may chip if placed on its edges. If the mirror is framed, please also be careful when placing it on its edge so as not to chip the frame.

Hanging Your Mirror:

Depending on the size and style of the mirror, either strap hangers, French cleats or security fixings will be supplied. (Please note that we do not supply the fixings that go into the wall as it will depend on what type of wall the mirror will hang on as to what type of fixings will be required. We recommend consulting with a qualified tradesman to ascertain the correct hanging fixings.)

It is important to ensure that the supporting structure has adequate strength to support both the individual fixings and the total weight of the intended installation.

If your mirror is to go into a bathroom, please let us know then we can provide the appropriate fixings.

How to hang your mirror using French Cleats

• Horizontally position and secure the interlocking profile to the supporting structure at the pre-drilled centres. It is important that the wall is completely flat.
• Please note that if the wall is not brick, you will need to consult with your local DIY shop or builder to get the appropriate rawl plugs to secure the screws.
• The inverted section fixed to the rear of the panel than slots into the section attached to the supporting structure to complete the installation.

How to hang your mirror with Strap Hangers

• Drill 2 holes in your wall that correspond to the strap hangers on the back of the mirror.
• Depending on the type of wall, typically, rawl plugs will be inserted into the holes and screws will be inserted and left slightly proud. Please note that if the wall is not brick, you will need to consult with your local DIY shop or Builder to get the appropriate fixings for the wall.
• The mirror can then be hung from these 2 points, which will allow the mirror hang almost completely flat against the wall and not move from side to side.
• Please note that we do not recommend using cord, wire or similar materials to hang your mirror as this may result in the mirror bowing or the glass cracking.

How to hang your mirror using Security Fixings

• Depending on the size of the mirror, typically between 3 to 8 security fixings plates will be fixed to your mirror.
• Drill holes into your wall that correspond with the plates fixed to the back of your mirror.  Then insert the rawl plugs into the holes and screw in the T-Shaped screws – leaving them slightly proud.  Please note that if the wall is not brick, you will need to consult with your local DIY shop or builder to get the appropriate rawl plugs to secure the screws.
• Then offer the mirror up to to the T-shaped screws and use the metal, flat key supplied to turn the screws to 90 degrees, so that the mirror is securely fixed to the wall.  Please take care not to over-tighen the screws as this may damage the mirror/glass.

Please note that we do not advise hanging mirrors from a chain, wire or similar products.

Please take care when attaching the mirror fixings to the wall fixings that they are aligned properly and that the fixings are not over tightened as this may cause stress on the mirror that may result in damage/cracking of the glass.

Cleaning Your Mirror

• We recommend using a chemical-free glass cleaner, sprayed directly on to a soft cloth, then gently buff the mirror, avoiding the trim finish – if applicable.
• Please note, do not spray cleaners directly on to the trim as this may result in the discolouration, and possible damage to the coating of the trim.
